This Soundcraftsmen MA5002A Class H Power Amplifier is in excellent cosmetic, and GOOD* working condition. This Professional Amplifier is equally impressive running huge club / band speakers as it is pushing delicate audiophile quality home speakers or studio monitors. It's built--period. This Amp weighs right at 50 pounds! *It works great, but one channel (Left) has a very low hum. The hum is low in volume, continuous and unchanging*. With the volume (of Amp) completely down or with no input signal and Amp's volume completely up--the hum is unchanged. Initially it remains constant... It's completely unnoticeable once you turn your music up a bit. *Now, for the funny part: this amp cranks; ironically, once you play it loud for a few minutes, the Buzz sound disappears. Once it's (Amp) warm you can turn the volume down very low and the buzz is gone--just clean music... Another note on the hum: anytime something electrical changes in our home, like Air Conditioner .. Everything else works excellent: all lights; even the "Vari-Portional / Auto-Buffer". I didn't want to blow the windows out of our home; so, had to stop short of checking the "True Clipping". I'm going to go ahead and guess: "It Works". Although, this amp has a slight issue, I'm 100% confident it's something simple and the Amp is a solid performer. The reason I know:
