One very well-used hallmarked sterling silver with composition infill ash tray, filled for extra stability . It should be noted that this item is a filled item and the silver content surrounds the composition infill. The ash tray is concave and round and measures approx. 7.5 cm in diameter and is hallmarked. The hallmarks are feint but the crown for Sheffield is visible as is the lion passant (just about); the marks W & H are clear for the maker - Walker and Hall. The year of the ash tray is completely rubbed away, although, as this has been in the family for its lifetime, I believe it must be at least 1950's or possibly earlier. Whole weight of item ( w ith infill ) is approx. 154 g. Weight of silver content unknown . There is a cigarette rest also. There are no personalised monograms or inscriptions either.

As described above, the condition of this item is very well-used. Any potential purchasers should be aware that there are a number of knocks, dings in the bowl; surrounding edge; perimeters, cigarette rest and the bottom is quite tatty. It's been very well-used and I would suggest that it might only only be suitable as scrap. Please consider its condition before you decide to bid.
