Up for bids is this quaduple-plated silverplate pitcher (or large creamer) crafted by Wilcox Silverplate Co . The design is etched and has great detail, including geometric figures, flowers, leaves, lines, ornaments. I believe this indicates it was made ca. 1925 - 1940 given the art deco design. The pitcher measures approximately 4-3/4" tall or 5-3/4" measuring to the top of the handle. The diameter is 2-3/4" at the very bottom, 3-3/4" at the widest point, and about 2-3/8" at the top. The condition of the piece is really good - light scratches, a few nicks, one deeper scratch with a slight indentation under it (7 o'clock pic 1). The silver plating looks wonderful and the design is nicely etched and detailed. T is light wear and some tarnishing. The underside of the pitcher/creamer has the mark of crossed hammers in a circle; around that it says "Wilcox Silverplate Co." in a ring and around the outside of that ring it says "Quadruple Plate". Underneath the circular maker's' mark it says "117", and below that, "A". Please see the pictures and e-mail me with any questions, I'm happy to answer!
