WWI era Winchester A5 Scope and mounts in the original leather case which is US military instpected on the bottom. Case marked M.G.H. Standard crosshairs. Retains 90% original finish overall with some wear from the mounts. A few minor spots of light surface rust here and there. Excellent optics are a little dusty. Original mounts. Mounts marked "Pat. Nov. 5 1907" and "Pat. June 7 1910". Original leather case is in fine condition with some light handling/scuff marks. Original canvas carry strap. Solid stitching. Case appears to be unmarked aside from the 3 letters stamped in the bottom. A little dirty. Some rust on the buckle. Winchester markings are crisp and clear on the scope body. A hard item to find, especially with the case. The Winchester A5 was considered one of the finest scopes of the era, and was used extensively on sniper rifles by U.S., British, and Canadian forces during WW1 and later in WW2. These were made from 1909 up until 1928. The scope itself does not appear to have any military markings on it, just the standard original Winchester markings. NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDING OR SHIPPING
