DESCRIPTION : This is a FABULOUS sterling silver necklace that was made in Taxco, Mexico, after 1978. This necklace is masterfully crafted in gorgeous classical design that has a great art deco look. The front and sides consist of six large (1-3/4" wide and 7/8" long) thick silver links ~ t is a silver rectangular bar at the top and a wide silver recentangular link that has two jet black onyx triangles that are surrounded with rich, earthy rusty brown stone inlay with black highlights (I believe the stone is agate) ~ the designs are separated with lines of silver. At the back of the necklace on either side of the central links, t are three silver links in graduated sizes ~ two of the links have agate stone inlay and one has black onyx inlay. All of the links are connected with rectangular silver links that are part of the design, which gives this necklace wonderful uninterrupted design flow. The clasp is a tongue and box closure that works perfectly and closes with a crisp 'click'. This is an EXQUISITE and TIMELESS vintage Taxco silver necklace ~ it is extremely well made, very comfortable to wear and a joy to behold! A must have for any serious Taxco silver collector!
