DESCRIPTION : This is such a classic art deco style sterling silver necklace made in Taxco, Mexico, after 1978. It is a hinged design and has a central focal black onyx stone that is 1-1/2" long and 1" wide that is bezel set in sterling. The hinges work well. The closure is a tongue and box clasp that works perfectly and closes with a crisp 'click'. A masterfully crafted Taxco necklace in a timeless design. SIZE : Inside circumference when closed is 15-3/4", inside diameter at the widest is 4-5/8", width in front is 1-1/2", width in back is 1/2" and the weight is 128 grams. CONDITION : Superior vintage condition ~ almost no age associated wear ~ just about perfect! HALLMARKS : "MEXICO, 925, TR-8? (the top part of the number is missing but the bottom portion looks like it was a "5").
