This is a set of beautiful, leather bound books from Gryphon Editions, Inc. Nine titles all come from their The Classics of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Library. Every volume is fully bound in top-quality genuine leather, or is quarter-leather bound with fine library buckram, and embellished with gold stamping of an original design. The raised bands across the spine are distinctive of the classic bookmaker's art. Specially commissioned marbelized endleaves are reminiscent of fine Old World editions. Coordinating headbands grace both ends of the spine and add strength. Illustrations are painstakingly reproduced. The acid-free leaves are Smyth-sewn; their edges are gilded for additional protection and elegance. A permanent silk ribbon marker ensures easy reference. For the discriminating collector, Gryphon Editions facsimiles enrich home or office while providing a lifetime of intellectual stimulation. Overall, this set is in very nice condition. There is minimal cover wear. A few volumes have include the notes from the editors and a label indicating the copy number and name of the previous owner. Pictures and titles are listed below.
