This is an older vintage or antique glass bead rosary. It has beautiful blue-purple faceted glass beads that each measure approx. 6mm across. The findings are gilt brass – most of the gold is worn off of the crucifix and medal. The crucifix is marked with the letter "E" on the back and is engraved in fancy letters “MVM to LMK 5.17.14” probably for May 17 th 1914. The necklace part measures approx. 15-1/2 inches on each side (31 inches in circumference), and the medal and cross hang down an additional 6-1/2 inches. It is in overall very good condition – no broken or chipped beads – some tarnish and dirt. It weighs 45.6 grams.
