Beautiful PatinaHere is a wonderful....School Teaching Banner....that comes from my personal collection. I am not sure of the age....but I have seen a lot of these dating to the 1920's. What a wonderful collectible....I was going to have this framed by a professional but never got around to it. As far as I know....these were used as teaching aids....in the schools. This looks similar to the ones that I used to have in school....on the Bulletin Board and always above the Blackboards. The artwork was done by the well known Bess Bruce Cleaveland. The piece measures about 36 inches long and 12 inches high. The sections fold down to a panel that is about 12 by 9 inches in size. The artwork is very fragile from age....but I think that it could be worked with. There are seam splits and there is a tear to the left side. If this could be matted and framed....it would present well. An Arts and Crafts type of frame would be interesting. Please email with any questions. Alaska and Hawaii please email for shipping.
