Vtg USMC Belt Buckle SID BELL Puritan MARINE CORPS Pewter 1977 grips RARE VG++

Submitted for your approval—and highest bid:

One (1) vintage, solid pewter belt buckle featuring an artistic rendering of the logo of the US Marine Corps, from a design by Sid Bell, manufactured by Puritan Pewter in 1977. Item measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter. This rare piece is in Very Good or better condition, with visible signs of light surface wear, well preserved for its age. Though not brand new, the buckle has never been worn on a belt, but only displayed or kept in proper storage. On the front is a round image of the famous eagle emblem of the United States military branch, surrounded by a decorative border with titles in stylized lettering, all in raised design on a gray metal surface. On the back is the name of manufacturer and year of production in raised lettering. Observe the amazing detail of this fine collectible! Please see the accompanying photos for detail. This hard-to-find belt buckle would make a great gift for the collector on your special list or a fine way to complete your own collection of quality display pieces.
