Offered for auction is the most OUTSTANDING Roseville Coppertone Frog Console Bowl. Coppertone was first introduced into the Weller line in 1929 and the artist responsible for it's design was Rudolph Lorber. Lorber also created the Glendale, Hobart and Lavonia Art Deco lines during his tenure. The bowl is in MINT "as issued" condition with no exceptions! T are NO chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. We blacklight all of our pieces and we GUARANTEE that the bowl is authentic and condition is, as, described... The bowl bears the Weller Pottery kiln stamp and also a hand written number 36 in black. The dimensions of the bowl are 11" L x 7 1/2" W x 2 1/4" D. What makes this bowl SPECTACULAR is the amount of copper glaze throughout the piece. Coppertone pieces can vary in the amounts of copper glaze that comes through and some even have a black or dark appearance instead of the warm copper seen in this piece. The more desireable pieces sought after by collectors, have a generous amounts of the copper glaze, evenly spread over the entire piece. This is one piece of Weller Coppertone that is hard to beat!!
