Cwmni Y Ddafad Ddu Gymreig - Pum Punt Issued 1969 Black overstamped cancellation mark See illustration 60 in Richard Hugh Williams' own publication The Collectors Guide to Modern Welsh Note Issues . This says of the issue, "With the refusal of the Board of Inland Revenue to continue to impress stamp notes specifically containing the symbol 'g' after the amount of the note , the design was slightly amended and these notes represent the current issue of the notes of the Chief Treasury of Wales Limites, now the Black Sheep Company of Wales Limited."For details of these notes The note is in uncirculated condition. The colourful story of how these notes were issued by Richard Williams of Llandudno and his ongoing and imaginative attempts to elude the regulations of the UK treasury are recounted in the book, "Money Galore : The Story of The Welsh Pound", by Ivor Wynne Jones.I will be listing a variety of notes of Cwmni Y Ddafad Ddu in the next couple of weeks, so if you are interested, please watch my items for sale.
