WHB 710 Radio 40 Star Music Survey October 11, 1963, Kansas City Mo.

A wonderful ORIGINAL piece of rock ‘n roll memorabilia, this listing is for the "40 Star Survey" from October 11, 1963. It features the 40 top 45’s of that week. For example, the top 5 for this week were:

1. Sugar Shack - Jimmy Gilmer & The Fireballs

2. Sally Go 'Round the Roses - Jaynettes

3. Blue Velvet - Bobby Vinton

4. Be My Baby - Ronettes

5. Busted - Ray Charles

The back side is the "Top Tune of the Week" - words to "Blue Bayou" by Roy Orbison. These surveys were released weekly in the Kansas City market by WHB 710 radio and featured their disc jockeys (Bob Elliot on this one).

Very good vintage condition – colors are clear and bright. Corners are sharp with no folds. There is a fold across the middle & across the upper and lower halves (please refer to photos). There is a very faint impression of a number that had been written in pencil and has been erased on the top of each side & there are two very small dark marks on the 40 Star Survey side beside the listing of #3 Blue Velvet and just outside the image of Bob Elliot. The survey measures 3-3/4" x 14-1/4".
