WITCH BURNING AT STAKE METAL FIGURINE VOLKSWANDERTAG SOUVENIR VERINGENSTADT GER.

Very unusual figural metal souvenir from the 1977 Volkswandertag in Veringenstadt, Germany depicting a witch burning at the stake. This macabre little figurine pays homage to the 17th-century witch burnings throughout Germany; this one specifically in the year 1680 that took place in the small town of Veringenstadt. This bronzed metal figurine with red flames stands 4" tall on a 2.75" by 1.75" wood base. The front has a metal plaque embossed "9. VOLKSWANDERTAG - VERINGENSTADT 1977 - HEXENVERBRENNUNG um 1680". The Volkswandertag is a national folk hike throughout Germany, with souvenir medallions and other mementos given out at the various destinations. This witch burning paperweight is one of the better souvenirs out there. Get it for the Holidays, for your collection or for someone you love. Good luck on your bid.
