Up for bid is a primitive hand carved wooden Uncle Sam. This co. was started by Rick Sharp in 1978 and was first known as Beaver Creek out of Beamon Iowa. The shop was destroyed by fire around 1980 and moved to a town near Eldora, Ia. and later named Wolf Creek. I believe this would be one of the early samples, as it is marked Beaver Creek, Beamon, Ia and signed Irene Ballard (?) This item was hand made and painted with quality and craftsmanship. Condition: I beleive the dark spots (front and back) are knots in the wood, otherwise in good condition with no cracks or chips . The arms and legs are moveable and measueres about 10 3/4" tall.
