WHAT A LOVELY ANTIQUE LATE VICTORIAN SILVER SUCRIERE! IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And really nice and very stylish too. This is a simply awesome sugar bowl and is of quite delightful form. It sits on a circular base..All in all a quite stunning bowl. This cracking piece is a real eye catcher and has a lovely fluted design too. Its beaded rim is most appealing. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely solid silver sugar bowl of good gauge and weight for its size.Hallmarks are deep and clear,fully marked to side of body. Assayed in London and dated 1889 (year letter O).Maker is John Newton Mappin-the founder of Mappin & Webb. This lovely item is in itself a wonderful piece of grand late Victorian silver.The interior is gilded. The diameter of the bowl is 6.625 inches and its height 4.75 inches. This lovely bowl is of exceptional quality and is a most delightful piece of table silver. It is unengraved and always has been (refer to images).Its weight is a hefty 389 grams (12.51 troy ounces) and the overall condition is very good indeed.There is no way that i could merit scrapping it despite the high metal price and it still has plenty of life left in it yet.All it needs is to be used! One of the nicest bowls i have had in a long,long time. All in all a really good antique large sized sucriere to grace any home. Please excuse
