Hello Ebayers my name is Gordon. I live in a little community called Springville that is out in the country in beautiful Tennessee . It is just outside Paris Tennessee, home of the worlds largest fish fry, held every year during the 3rd week of April. I have been carving since 1985 as a hobby carver and full-time since 2007. I enjoy carving the Native American Indian face so you will see more of them than other carvings, but I am trying to branch out. I don't carve women very well so I don't carve them very often. I carve mostly cottonwood bark from Arizona. I carve cottonwood bark for several reasons; it is easier on my body, it is pretty, I like it and it doesn't crack. Cottonwood bark being bark and not hardwood doesn't move so it doesn't crack. Anything on any of my cottonwood bark carvings that looks like a crack is just where the bark separates or is just a defect in the wood. I also sell books and my wife has a used bookstore, so if you are looking for a book maybe I can help. If you have any questions feel free to ask. This carving measures approx. 16 inches tall, 3 inches wide at its widest point. The wood is a piece of Cottonwood Bark. Buyer pays all shipping and handling. If you need additional information or additional picture, please email me. International buyers, shipping and handling will be on a case by case basis.
