World War I Gas Mask and Field Carrying Bag and Instruction Book For your consideration this awesome piece of history World War I Gas Mask and Bag. We found this in a antique store in Canon City, Colorado. The pictures you see is the condition we found it. The rubber mouth piece and nasal clip are still in tact inside the mask. There is a number three on the front of the mask below the lenses. Also on the mask is the number 514706-C, I believe. The hose has the number 23 1612 on it. On the mask under the handle are the numbers D 25 or 26, CE, 18 18. Now for the bag. Inside are two pockets each with a smaller pocket in it. In the right side pocket is a spring. The bag also has the instruction book and cover attached. Inside the back pocket of the book is a pocket with plaster strips for the hose repair. The inside of the book says "issued Aug 16th 1918. Also Div L, Reg't 52nd Co.A ( I think). Under the column "Drill with actual gas" I believe it says "10 hr". Not being an expert in WWI artifacts I have tried to give as many details as possible. Please ask any questions you may have. See pictures for details. SOLD AS IS. Thank You for visiting our auction.
