RARE World War II Los Angeles Port of Embarkation Badge

This is a Vintage World War II Los Angeles Port of Embarkation Badge . The small amount of research that I did before listing this item taught me that the boys coming back from the South Pacific were processed t and a lot of them were flowing through the hospitals, some guys died t from wounds suffered or disease. It was located in Wilmington, CA. I am not certain if the ID badge belonged to someone returning home or a soldier that worked t I don't think t are a lot of these badges floating around because they were supposed to be returned to the Government. Well, you can take it from and research this item some more before you "Buy it Now" or make me an offer. I thought it was pretty interesting so I bought from an estate guy. I am sure that it has some siginificant historical value and could mean a lot to the right person!
