WW II German Messerschmitt Bf 109 Cockpit Clock

World War II German Messerschmitt Bf 109 Cockpit Clock

circa 1940

This clock has a black dial and rotating Backelite bezel. Hands and markings are luminous. The movement front plate is numbered J30BZ. The back plate is a bayonet fix. The following figures on partially silvered disc are hard to read and I've done the best I can to copy them;

Borduhr, Gerat Nr. 127-553A,

Werk Nr. 648187

A bit of history

My father got this clock from a downed Messerschmitt during the Battle of the Bulge. He was in the 82 nd Airborne.

Works perfectly Keeps good time Stop watch function operates as designed Some tiny scratches on the face glass THERE IS NO red or yellow around the bezel- what you see in the pictures is my camera's red-eye reduction working.

I accept returns only if you haven't worked on it.
