U.S. Navy Japanese Navy Recognition Models complete set made by Comet Metal Products, Co., Richmond Hill, N.Y. circa 1942. 20 complete and detailed cast metal models (also known as spotter or i.d. models), each removable from the case, and identified underneath. (Nagato Class, Shokaku Class, etc.) Destroyers, cruisers, battleships, carriers. Two masts appear to be missing, one mast is loose, and one ship may have been repaired but is now intact. Truly a great artifact from WW II. Case is marked "Navy Miniature Models" "Japanese Navy" Case measures: 32" x 14" x 2" (open), 16" x 14" x 4" (closed), with original rope handles. No Reserve. Shipping via FedEx about 18 lbs. 12x24x24
