WW2 ARC Red Cross Nurse Hat w Veil - Rare + NrMT

This listing represents a first for me. you have a WWII Red Cross Nurse's hat with veil. The cap is very simple. It has a long blue nylon mesh veil with a white crown with a centered Red Cross. T is string for securing the hat under the chin of the nurse. The white crown may be linen and the Red Cross is embroidered on a white cotton patch and sewn to the crown. T is no staining, soiling, nips, fraying or signs of wear. The Nurse's hat is in near mint condition. The American Red Cross provided, in addition to nursing and rehabilitation services, motor transport, recreation, snacks, and administrative assistance with personal and family issues. This rare WWII American Red Cross Nurse's Cap and Veil in near mint condition would make a wonderful addition to a WWII American Red Cross and/or Nurse's collection. It is a fantastic piece for re-enactors, and it would look terrific in your display, museums, and for educational and theatrical presentations. It also would make a poignant gift to a veteran (or addition to a veteran's shadow box display) or family. I am listing a number of caps, uniform items, field gear, insignia, ribbons, home front pieces, etc. this week. Please do a seller-search using my username: martinolij to check it out. Thank you.

Pay Pal transactions of $250 or over will also require a signature return receipt document or another incremental method of tracking. Please factor this in your decision to bid. I save all Postal Service Receipts as well as copies of your payment as proof of delivery and completion of the transaction. The mail is not infallible and that is why insurance is available to you (your choice/option) for domestic and international transactions. It is your responsibility to understand and ad to these terms.

I have enjoyed interacting with buyers from four continents and dozens of countries. Many have been veterans, active duty GIs, home front family members in our war on terror, authors, artists, teachers, museum curators, etc. You are encouraged to email with questions. I will try my best to answer all those that are received by Friday. (I am not always available on weekends when the items close.) If you perceive a discrepancy between the photos and description you should bring this to my attention for clarification before you bid. When bidding, consider what the item is worth and what you can afford. A winning bid represents a legal and binding contract.
