This offering is for a World War Two, 1943, US Navy Mark 1 Training Bayonet made of blued steel and plastic by one of two makers: Either the Pro-Phy-Lactic Tooth Brush Company , or Beckwith Plastics Company . This particular bayonet is by the former and marked with their script PBCo , and NXSO 29524 . Original, undamaged, unaltered and virtually unused it is a fine example of the early war attempt at saving precious war metals for the war effort. The matching scabbard is by Beckwith with their Batch Number 2/9 marked on the bottom side of the scabbard's throat. Nice patina and originl painted finish to the undamaged plastic body of the scabbard......The perfect companion to the Navy's Parris-Dunn wooden Training Rifle, an example of which I am also currently offering.
