WWII Navy Submarine USS S-21 SS-126 BU C&R Naval Architect Ship Builder Plans

We are listing tonight a varied group of items, all original and vintage, including a collection of naval architect ship builder blueprint plans, mostly of WWI and WWII Submarines. They are from the estate of a Rhode Island man who was a Korean War Veteran and an amateur historian. Some come from modern suppliers like Floating Drydock and McCandliss, some are from the National Archives, the Bureau of Construction and Repair, and Booklet of General Plans from the Navy Yards themselves.
Many of these are in a format to unfold to a LONG graphic blueprint, usually 4 to 5 feet long, with a scale of ¼ inch to 1 foot. Most are good to very good condition, some of the older ones have chipping just to the edges of the margins. Some others are large single sheet plans made for model builders, these could hang on a wall like posters for fans of military technology.
This was a man's lifetime collection, they have indications of being acquired from the 1980s through early 2000s. My preliminary research shows that these are not readily available in any large quantity at all, and when this collection is dispersed, it will a long time before many of these are available again..

As usual, we offer each week a selection of rare or collectible items from our stock which includes the fruits of nearly 50 years of searching and collecting!.
