Ladies and Gentle up for Auction is a U.S Model 1905 bayonet for the Springfield rifle. These were issued to the UNITED STATES MILITARY during WWI and were officially reissued with blueing on the blades during WWII . These particular bayonets were produced by the SPRINGFIELD ARMORY from 1906 to 1922 and are ordinance marked with FLAMING BOMB SYMBOL as was popular at the time. This bayonet is marked 1918 and has a blade that measures 16" (this is the long version!). Blade is in excellent condition with 95% BLUE remaining ! The ORIGINAL WOOD GRIPS are in fantastic shape as can be seen from pictures, NEAR MINT!! This Bayonet comes with its original M-1910 TYPE 4 CANVAS SCABBARD.
