This is a great piece of WWII US Navy Seabee History. This bag belonged to E. Peterson as stenciled on the bottom of the bag. The fighting Seabee is expertly stenciled on one side and the US Navy Anchor on the other. Along with these great pieces of WWII folk art, are the names of all the places visited by this salor including: Coral Sea, Amsterdam Island, Leyte, Woendi, Biak.,New Bebrides, Sydney, Tournsville, Brisbane, New Guinea and many more including stops in the US. This bag is all intact and is somewhat dirty, especially on the bottom. I'll let the new owner decide if they will risk cleaning this item. A very colorful piece of WWII Navy Seabee history. MN Resident's add 6.5% sales tax. Payment should be made within 7 days of close of auction. No reserve. Good luck! |
