This is a real photo postcard of the main business street in Yampa, Colorado. Yampa is in northwestern Colorado near Steamboat Springs. It was on the original Moffat Road (Denver & Salt Lake Railroad) until it was taken over by the Denver & Rio Grande (D&RG) Railroad. The image was taken in the 1930s, but was reprinted probably in the 1950s or 1960s. The card was apparently used as a sample in a store, as “Sample” and “M 606” are written in the bottom margin. The image is clear, with many readable signs. The Antlers Hotel is to the far right and a garage/gas station with gravity gas pumps is farther down the street. The card is in good condition with minor corner and edge wear (see scans). This will make a nice addition for a person who collects Yampa, Moffat Road towns, Steamboat Springs, and/or Colorado postcards. Thank you for looking! The card has been scanned outside the margins so you can see the corners and edges. I will be happy to answer questions. Postage is $2.00 in the U.S. and Canada. Outside the US, postage is $5.50 for International First Class. I will send the card by USPS First Class Mail securely packed between two pieces of cardboard. Colorado residents must pay 2.9% sales tax.
