Named after the high content of sodium found within, its principal use is as a gemstone with its electric blue color joined by streaks of black and white. Crystals are rare, though some have been found at Mt. Vesuvius, Italy. Brazil is known to produce some of the most colorful pieces, and within North America it can be found in Ontario, Canada; Red Hill, New Hampshire; Litchfield, Maine, and Magnet Cove, Arkansas. Mont St.-Hilaire in Canada has even been known to produce transparent pieces.This particular Rough Rock Lot weighs 22 lbs.. Specific dimensions can be given upon request.
