Yellow Ware Crock Chicken Waterer Blue Slip Trenton NJ

This is a great old country piece, my grandmother used to have similar. It is a yellow ware crock, with an opening on the side, used to water chickens. It would be filled with water from the side, the water would fill the drinking part and then it would continue to fill until the jug was empty. This has writing in blue slip -- Ribsam, Trenton NJ. I do not know whether Ribsam was the chicken farm or the manufacturer, but anyone from the Trenton area would surely like this -- also, anyone who like old timey farm things. This stands 14" high and is 11 " across. This was used -- and its wear is a tribute to its years of use. As shown, t are 2 small chips at the top. T are also a few chips and feather cracks at the opening which are also shown in the photo. These do not detract. It is heavy -- it will ship at a wrapped weight of 16 pounds, but if you are from the NJ area, I am happy to arrange for a pick up to save you the shipping. Question? Please ask....
