You are bidding on an early Hanna-Barbera animation drawing of Yogi Bear by the one and only Dan Gordon, the famous long time Hanna-Barbera cartoonist/artist and close friend of Joe Barbera. This Yogi Bear drawing was used for an interstitial TV ad during The Yogi Bear Show in 1961, its inaugural year. It is hand drawn in pencil graphite on 12 field animation paper. Dimensions of the piece are 12.5" x 10" inches. Hanna-Barbera drawings from the early '60s are uncommon. Fine Condition.

So Just Who Was Dan Gordon?

Dan Gordon (died 1970) was an American storyboard artist and film director , best known for his work at both Famous Studios and Hanna-Barbera Productions . Gordon was one of Famous' first directors, and he wrote and directed several Popeye the Sailor and Superman cartoons. Later, at Hanna-Barbera, Gordon worked on several cartoons featuring Yogi Bear , Huckleberry Hound , and others.
