Dutch pottery and porcelain

WHEN it was first suggested to me that I should write a book on Dutch Pottery and Porce- lain, my thoughts 'turned at once to the country in which I had lived for so many years. It was gratifying to me to have an opportunity of, figuratively speaking, going over the ground again, and to recall the names of towns and streets, the small dealers in out- of-the-way corners, and the more important ones at whose establishments fine specimens could always be procured, provided that one had no objection to paying fine prices for them.
