Catalogue of the Coins of Parthia

The present volume of the Catalogue of the Greek Coins in the British Museum (the twenty-third of the series begun in 1873) describes the coinage of Parthia. The size of the coins is given in inches and tenths, and the weight in English grains. Tables for converting grains into grammes and inches into millimetres, as well as into the measures of Mionnet's scale, are placed at the end of the volume. A map has been prefixed showing the Empire of Parthia at its greatest extent.
