George F. Young, upon completion of his education in schools of his na tive county, entered into the field of education . Although he was held in high regard as a teacher, he left this profession after four years, moving to Zanesville in 1884 where he enroll ed in a business college. Completing his course, he accepted the position of bookkeeper with the Singer Manufa cturing Company and worked there for 6 years.
