Writing a book on Noritake collectibles, no matter how much information it may contain, is like trying to remove all the water from an ocean with a thimble. So many items were manufactured and imported into the United States that it would take numerous volumes to adequately cover the subject. Since that is not a realistic goal at this time perhaps we should merely consider this book as a starting point. Hopefully, it will whet the appetite of collectors and researchers and lead to new discoveries and information .
