Please pardon our use of this old adage, but it does indicate the new and modern term for knife collecting rather neatly. It means we've come a long way from the old "hoss trading" days of the whittler-trader when interest was centered more in acquiring better quality knives for personal use, or laying some away as spares for a later day.
