The Standard Knife Collector's Guide

Please pardon our use of this old adage, but it does indicate the new and modern term for knife collecting rather neatly. It means we've come a long way from the old "hoss trading" days of the whittler-trader when interest was centered more in acquiring better quality knives for personal use, or laying some away as spares for a later day. Individual collections were generally, in those days small, and all knives were relatively inexpensive.
