Why did it take us so long to realize how interesting marbles are! I have been exposed to them since early childhood. I can remember my older brother having a large German Swirl when we were children, given to him by our uncle. It was not to play with but we could take it out of the trunk occasionally to admire for awhile. But then it was wrapped again in tissue paper, put back in the box and placed back into the trunk for safe keeping.
