Each of us was born and grew up in the state of California and one of us fondly remembers as a child driving with her parents down a very long and dusty road, way out into the "country," far away from big city Los Angeles. Those Sunday drives eventually led to the rocky coastline of the Pacific Ocean and the small village communities of Laguna Beach and Corona del Mar. The family would play in the water, picnic on the beach, and visit the array of pottery and cottage industry shops along Pacific Coast Highway on those warm, sunny afternoons.
