Collector's Guide to Children's Books 1850-1950

When we told our friends, relatives, and fellow book col lectors that we'd taken on the assignment of w riting a price guide to children's books, we received various reactions. Our friends and relatives, accustomed to navigating around our overflowing bookshelves, thought this was a natural extension of our interests. Book collectors and dealers said things like "good idea" or "what a job," and very generously allowed us to remove book after book from their shelves to check prices, dates, and other information. Then everybody asked, " But how do you decide what to put in and w hat to leave out?"
