Whitman Juvenile Books Reference & Value Guide

The company that was to become the Western Printing and Lithographing Company began in 1905 as the West Side Printing Company located in the basement of the Dr. Fazen Building in the 600 block of State Street in Racine, Wisconsin. Run by John Geller, it was a Gordon shop, doing small job work. One of the employees was a boy just out of school, William Wadewitz, about whom we will hear more shortly.
