Yellow ware has achieved much more respect in the last decade. And well it should. Anyone who takes the time to look through the photos in this book will be amazed at the variety of forms. Since yellow ware was produced for over a century we can find anything from an eighteenth century whimsey to a twentieth century utilitarian object. Popularity and demand have brought many pieces to the surface and education has enlightened us to be able to identify previously unidentifiable pieces. Still, yellow ware is not considered to be "serious" pottery by some people.
