Shoes of Glass

Collectors often ask me about buying a damaged shoe. If I find a shoe which I don't have or have never seen and which has some damage, I will buy it if the price reflects the condition, just to have as an example. It may be many years before another is found and, if and when it is, one can upgrade then. On occasion one sees a "pair" of shoes for sale which in reality are simply two of the same shoe. However, some shoes are shaped on the sole as either right or left foot, and others come with buttons on the right or left side. Either of these examples, when put together, will make a true pair of shoes, but most shoes are straight in shape and are not considered a pair even though there may be two of them. Of course, if a collector wishes to collect duplicate shoe "pairs" he or she should do so. As I stated previously, one should collect what pleases one.
