The book you hold in your hands was the one which Bill Heacock intended to be the last in his series of twelve books entitled Encyclopedia of Victorian Pattern Glass. As life and luck would have it, he didn 't live to see that dream become a reality. I didn 't think it was proper to include this book in the Encyclopedia series since a substantial amount of research and additional writing had to be done by Barry Wiggins and Jin1 Measell to complete the manuscript for publication.
