Our purpose in writing this book is to help new collectors learn about all kinds of Czech pottery. We deliberately included pottery in a wide price range, pottery of many different patterns and in as many colors as possible We named many patterns of Czech pottery, hoping it will be easier to communicate with other Czech pottery enthusiasts. Rather than include comprehensive information about specific factories, artists and designers, we wrote a succinct history and timeline outli ning the development of the Czech pottery industry.
