The 2005 Madame Alexander Collector's Doffs Price Guide is dedicated to the memory of Patricia R. Smith who died in 2003. Pat authored dozens of books and price guides on all types of dolls from bisque to Barbie®. I knew Pat primarily in the Alexander world. Her books laid the foundation of knowledge of what we know about Madame Alexander dolls. Pat was a friend and pen pal to Madame Alexander. She received the Madame Alexander Doll Club's highest award, The Service Award, for her years of work writing articles, researching, and giving lectures.
