Collecting Costume Jewelry 303 The Flip Side, Exploring Costume Jewelry from the Back

So often, in my travels as I search for costume jewelry to add to my collection, I encounter wonderful people who do not understand why I collect costume, rather than fine jewelry. They are bewildered by my willingness to pay $100.00, and sometimes much more, for jewelry without gold and without fine diamonds, emeralds, or sapphires. I want to explain my reasons to them in such a way as to convey my passion for this jewelry, but I'm often at a loss for words.
