This book by William Heacock and Patricia Johnson is the "Bible" for collectors of open salts. Litterally illustrates more than 5,000 open salts. First published in 1982, this book had been out-of-print until reissued by Antique Publications in 1995-1996. Open Salt will interst all glass and china collectors, even those who don't specialize in open salts, because many patterns were made in other types of wares. Thousands of items are illustrated, many in glorious color. Information is given on pattern names and company attributions.
