1876-1877 Annual Report of the Committee on Statistics of the National Board: 61 Fire Underwriters

The resolution of the Committee, inviting the co-operation of Companies not members of the Board, in monthly reports on special hazards, has been responded to by 23 Companie's, and brought to us much valuable information, it being found on examination that they rarely reported losses upon the same risks as Board Companies.
