This machine is designed to bore holes in hubs of wheels in which to set the boxes, and it is operated by man power. It will bore straight or any desired taper and cut all necessary recesses, including that at the spokes; consequently, the box is set without wedging. Fasten the wheels to the face plate by means of the screw books, with the point of the hub turned toward the machine. The cutting bit is in the point of the mandrel, and the mandrel is held stationary.
