One Gallon Altschul Distilling Co. Handled Jug A one gallon, handled, cork top, Altschul Distilling Jug from Dayton , Ohio . This clear jug is in very good shape and is starting to pick up an amethyst or purple color. The wooden handle and bale are in good shape and the old jug even has a cork stopper. The handle is attached with double "ears". Jug marked Boldt on the bottom. Strong embossing on the slug plate, which reads, "Altschul Distilling Co. Dayton Ohio, Trade Mark, and then a logo of the letter A with a whiskey barrel on top. A good looking jug for your collection, or window. Heck fill it up and have a party.
