3 1/2 Gauge Juliet to Curly Lawrence,s design, but with certain modifications that he recommended at the time he designed the loco.The loco has Baker valve gear , superheater, axle pump. hand pump , and injector . Stainless steel grate and ashpan , cylinder drains operated from the cab.The Loco was built some time ago but has never been steamed as is evident from the lack of soot anywhere.Lubrication to the cylinders is by a mechanical lubricator . A whistle is also fitted , as is a blowdown valve .The fit and finish of the loco can only be described as superb , and is a credit to the builder .There is a current hydraulic certificate which expires in June 2018 .There is a current steam cert which expires July 2015.Both certs are through the southern federation I decided to steam the loco today (5/7/2014 ) to calibrate the pressure gauge and to obtain the above steam cert , The loco runs well in both forward and reverse, with no tight spots,Steam was raised easily with the fire drawing well on the steam blower .Loco comes in a robust well built box for transportation .This loco would make an ideal first loco for anyone interested in the hobby .Due to its weight , collection is offered from my address or alternatively I could deliver at cost within a reasonable distance.Any further information can be given by contacting me through read more
